After another great but more casual conversation with my friend Kells, I was so excited to share Black Ndn Tea with y'all. It was nice to get the perspective of our everyday lives without the weight of a plan. Upon uploading however alot of the MP3 was corrupted and deleted in weird ways. It took me a while to sort out everything but now the full 2 hour episode is up!!!!! {Both the audio and the flow of the conversation make a lot more sense sorry for not catching it earlier folks} In short: We talk sh*t. Tw: discussion of intergenerational trauma, child abuse, misogynoir and anti Blackness. Kells (@Iamkellingit), joins our host Jordan (@awkwardrambler)…to run our mouths. Sometimes you just need to vent with someone who gets you. Afro Indigenous experiences are wide and varied, but also we are few and far between. Dating, slogans, politics, happiness, anti-Blackness, Colorism, our complicated families. We ask each other about Black Guilt films our parents showed us and the annoyance of simply being perceived in Brown femmes bodies. And the great philosophy of minding my own damn bidness.  Just two people admitting they are complicated and sometimes a mess. All through the duality of Afro-Indigeny.
