“Letters to the Earth” is a Cultural Response to the Climate and Ecological Emergency as part of Culture Declares EmergencyAfter a month long open call for submissions, where over 1000 Letters were received from the public across the world, including submissions from Yoko Ono, Kate Tempest, Nick Drake and Rebecca Solnit, A Book of Letters was released for global performance during International Rebellion, from 15th to 28th April, 2019 as part of the call that governments tell the truth about climate collapse and act accordingly.This reading was produced in the midst of the fortnight of international rebellion against ecocide lead by the Extinction Rebellion.The event was recorded on May the 27th, 2019 at the Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff.
