Listen as we sit down with country music artist and songwriter Sara Evans. Talking about her new memoir, 'Born to Fly', parenting, being a Step-Mom, new album Copy That and more. Copy That, Sara’s first solo record in nearly three years, was released May 15, 2020 and opened at #1 on the iTunes Country chart. Its thirteen songs span six decades and chronicle her influences and pivotal songs that shaped her life and career. Tracks include “If I Can’t Have You,” “Hard To Say I’m Sorry,” “Come On Eileen,” “My Sharona,” and “It’s Too Late.” Co-produced with Jarrad K (Ruston Kelly, Goo Goo Dolls), Copy That includes collaborations with Little Big Town’s Phillip Sweet on “Whenever I Call You Friend” and Old Crow Medicine Show on “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry.” Evans’ daughter Olivia Barker provides BGV on “Whenever I Call You Friend.” On September 8, 2020 Sara released her memoir, Born To Fly, through Howard Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. Named after her landmark double-platinum album, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, Born To Fly finds Evans opening up and sharing stories not only about her career and what it is like living in the spotlight, but about what inspires her and how her faith keeps her strong.
