Tamperproof packaging, of course, is a fact of modern life. In an era when all manner of crazies believe they have a cause worth killing for, where manufacturers face massive lawsuits should their products cause harm, you just can’t get around it. But there was a more innocent time not that long ago when such measures did not exist. Back in those days you could pluck a bottle of painkillers from the shelf, screw off the top, and find no more protection than a wad of cotton wool. Jealousy is a natural human emotion.
