Passion is underrated; it’s replaced too often by obligations, responsibilities and stagnation. It’s pushed to the side in exchange for a perception of safety. Let me say this: safety is an illusion; passion is real. It’s also seen as something that we find outside of ourselves. I believe that sometimes, as spiritual beings living a human experience, we forget that we have the ability to experience a passion for this life all on our own. And sometimes we need that erotic, primal, animalistic instinct to push us forward. I have had the privilege to experience a complacent life, disillusioned by what I would have called mundane, unable to find passion in anything at all. And I have tasted that primal knowing of ecstatic bliss in one moment, in one breath and in a heated exchange of love and intimate connection. A connection beyond explanation, beyond reasoning, and resting only in an intuitive ignition of two souls coming together in union.
