My next guest became one of the first walk-on success stories during coach Kirk Ferentz's tenure at Iowa. The All-Big Ten performer helped the Hawks win a Big Ten title and reached 3 bowl games with 2 victories during his tenure. Grant Steen's career at Iowa wasn't the most publicized but his athleticism and willingness to be an absolutely selfless team player, in one of the country's stingiest defenses.
