Today’s episode (86 mins) consists of three papers given by Alex Dubilet, Daniel Colucciello Barber, and myself. There were given at the University of California-Berkeley back in May and formed the first workshop for our project investigated the prospect or not of thinking a “generic secular” in the midst of various critiques of secular and Christian universalism, the return of religion, and critical theory of race and gender. The dialogue form of the project is going to be repeated in the book we produce and I think it promises something interesting in the interstitial space we inhabit in theory. A genuine debate that shapes the final ideas. If you are able to support us please head over to the GoFundMe page that’s been set up. For our immediate cost needs it would be helpful to raise another $300 in the next week or so. The song in today’s episode is “When the Storm Came” from Talk Less Say More’s fantastic album Violent.
