Mitch Schwartzman is a Strength & Conditioning Coach and Assistant Director of Athletic Performance at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. In this episode we talk about what Mental Health means for athletes and how they should be approached a little bit differently than the non-athlete. As a coach Mitch spends a lot of time with his athletes and pays close attention to their performance as well as behaviors that can often show signs and symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other forms of mental health issues. Coach Schwartzman has also played an important role in the University helping establish protocols for athletes who may be seeking help. Here he talks about these protocols and how Lindenwood has created a communication system that has helped a lot of athletes on campus.
