Maybe you're like me and you're tired of people. If you are like me, at times you've grown weary in your well-doing because people wear you out. A slight part 2 continuation to last week's episode, this week I dig in to some of the reasons why. At the top of the list is unforgiveness and a surprise contender is codependency. I won't give the whole episode away, but by the end of it we turn a negative into a positive. We may be tired of people, but let’s ask God to help us to see them as he sees them and to let us see ourselves as he sees us too. If we can see from his perspective and move forward with softened hearts, with gratitude about how often he’s forgiven our offenses against him, I think it will be possible to forgive others. We have to acknowledge and embrace how important we are to him and how much he loves and cares for us and desires wholeness for each and every one of us. You know who this reminded me of?Jesus and his friends in the Garden of Gethsemane. It's tough to be there for people who aren't as committed to being there for you, but Jesus endured even that, as an example for us. If the title of this episode really resonates with you, let God renew your mind and refill your cup. He's got you covered. The world needs what you have to offer (even when they don't seem to deserve or appreciate it). Through this episode, I hope to encourage US to shift our perspective toward grace, gratitude and forgiveness, love and compassion! We might be more alike than you think...
