When I started my first job, I knew what to do with every patient I saw.   Just kidding.   I was sooooo lost. Even after an amazing final clinical rotation, nothing could have prepared me for treating patients on my own, by myself, in a brand new environment. And it took me months, probably close to a year, before I felt like I wasn't drowning. But it doesn't have to be this way. We don't have to stumble through our first year(s) of practice. Part of the reason I made it through that first year was because of my friend & classmate, Gary. Dr. Gary Schneider, PT, Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, was one of my absolute ROCKS during the first year of PT practice. We would have monthly phone calls on our way home from the clinic to problem-solve through tricky patient cases & how to just get through our busy weeks. Gary is now taking his experiences as a struggling new grad & is transforming the transition from student to clinician with his new program, The Clinical Mirror.
