Teaching by storytelling is powerful. Organizational psychologist Peg Neuhauser found that learning which stems from a well-told story is remembered more accurately, and for far longer than learning derived from facts and figures. In fact, psychologist Jerome Bruner’s research suggests that facts are 20 times more likely to be remembered if they’re part of a story. This is nothing new to people who have heard the teachings of Jesus. People who are not even Christ-followers can still piece together at least the gist of some of the stories that the Lord Jesus masterfully told. In this episode, Rick and Sean discuss The Parable of the Good Samaritan, based on Rick's message. There's a lot that is familiar with the passage, but if slow down and pay attention, we'll find we're not looking at an imaginary character, but ourselves. Don't miss this episode!
