Amanda is the co-author of a very different and difficult book, Where the Magic Happens. It is a book that Amanda hopes no one would ever have a need to read. Through her own experience and tragedy, Amanda identified the need for a book that explains to a child what they can expect when they are treated for brain cancer. In this episode Amanda shares the joys of raising her beautiful son Cooper Christensen. Then the fear felt when she began to sense something was wrong. The heartbreak of discovering that Cooper had a form of brain cancer that no person has ever survived. Finally the complete tragedy of the death of her son.
