Dr Forbes McGain is an anaesthetist and intensive care physician who created the PVC Recovery in Hospitals Program (now in over 55 healthcare facilities across the world) because he was concerned about the amount of plastic hospital items being thrown away. He is also an Associate Professor at the University of Sydney's School of Public Health (Planetary Health Platform). We chat to him about healthcare’s contribution to climate change and why doctors are well placed to be pioneers for healthcare sustainability.
