Dr. Saima Ali grew up in Brooklyn, New York. She attended the Hunter City University of New York, where she pursued a bachelor's in economics. Dr. Ali then went on to pursue her medical education at Ross University School of Medicine. Afterward, she completed her neurology residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Ali then went on to pursue a fellowship in neurophysiology at North well in New York. She is board-certified in Neurology and Epilepsy. Dr. Ali focuses on Epilepsy because there are many negative stigmas that Dr. Ali believes is associated with Epilepsy. After completing her training, she worked from home during intraoperative monitoring for three years while taking a stroke all night from local hospitals. Dr. Ali has two beautiful children, a five-year-old girl in a three-year-old boy. While raising them, she found it hard to go back into the clinical setting. She's currently taking a break, but now she's planning to go back two to three days per week in a clinical position she has not decided yet.Dr. Ali’s other passion is finance. She started a company and a podcast called Wealthy Muslim Women, currently streaming live in iTunes and Google podcast. Her goal is to educate Muslims on financial topics and how to build wealth.
