In a bold move to protect vulnerable seniors, Elder Help Network has filed a Motion to Appear as Amicus Curiae in Morris County Superior Court. The filing supports 90-year-old stroke survivor Robert Kerekes in the case Kerekes v. Polyak before Judge Frank DeAngelis.
The allegations involve Sam Polyak of Polykup and David Gutwill of Ultimate Car Care (Fair Lawn). According to the brief, a contracted Tesla battery EV conversion on Kerekes’ 2003 Acura NSX turned into alleged elder financial exploitation when high-value batteries were replaced with dangerous recalled Chevrolet Bolt batteries. After a court Writ of Replevin, the car was returned missing $200,000 worth of original parts.
