This week, during the Days of Awe, namely the week in between Rosh Hashanah and the Day of Atonement, I chose to focus on the looming global climate crisis as a life-threatening crisis for the world's children. Both the UN and Unicef have created reports documenting this global disgrace. Not only is the planet reeling to the edge of extinction, but with it--children from impoverished nations. What the mainstream media does not want the public to realize is that environmental injustice stems from economic injustice. You cannot separate the two issues, and the one group helpless to stem the tide--are the children. So, I will discuss these reports and possible solutions. I will also discuss the role of mainstream aka CORPORATE media as they continue to push the 'false equivalence' fallacy in their 'reporting' which is little more than expensive stenography. I will not mince words. There is no room for ambiguity here. Either you work for economic and social equity for all--especially the world's poor--or you cannot call yourself a 'moral' person, Come join me. Jeanine
