The Pure Sine Wave series continues with E4 at 329.628hz. With the A-440 wave gaining popularity, I thought E would be a good note to add to the series. This is the same frequency as the high E string on a guitar. The guitar low E string is 82.41hz also referred to as E2. You can tune either E-string easily to this pitch. The sine wave is called pure in the sense that there are no additional harmonics to the tone. Only the fundamental frequency is present which is unlike the majority of sounds we encounter in the natural acoustic world. For this reason, the sine wave sounds a little unnatural from a listening standpoint. Comments to this effect are common among the sine wave series on the channel. Thanks for stopping by. Happy Listening, Dale
