This week on the Ohio Huntsman Podcast we discuss the recent changes related to the artwork for the federal duck stamp. The federal duck stamp has provided an enormous amount of conservation dollars for waterfowl habitat and the bulk of that money comes from waterfowl hunters. In order to show appreciation for that contribution, there was a requirement added to the artwork competition. The artwork for the stamp for 2021 had to include a hunting aspect in order to be chosen. This requirement was removed after this year, so we discussed what we thought about the change and also what precedence a change like this could set for future decisions being made. We also discussed if we felt like this was an attempt to further separate hunters from the millions of conservation dollars they raise. Ohio Huntsman is powered by Simple Cast.
