In the film, Samira, a patient with terminal cancer, is seen entering New York City accompanied by her nurse and other hospice residents. Before everything ends, all she wants is one more piece of her favourite pizza. However, as soon as they arrive, sightless aliens descend from the sky, throwing the city into an unimaginable crisis. Samira gains empathy from Lupita Nyong'o as she learns to traverse the bloody streets. With just her loyal cat, Frodo, by her side, she embarks on a quest to locate that pizza, accepting that these may be her last days.
