Maeda made his first start of Spring Training and struck out two in his lone inning of the game. Pollock had two hits and walked through 6 innings. Bellinger also made his first start of Spring Training after dealing with a sore back this past weekend. The pitching held up really well through the first 3 innings not giving up a hit. Ben Holmes and Shea Spitzbarth struggled in the 8th surrendering 7 runs to give the Royals a run away lead. Shane Peterson hit a solo home run in the 9th but it wasn’t enough to help the Dodgers rally back from a 8-run deficit.
