Struggles with disordered eating, dieting, body image, and more are rampant in today’s society filled with diet culture. Thankfully we’re seeing a shift towards freedom from that cycle thanks to the media and professionals in the field. Today’s guest, Sarah Chau, is an Eating Disorder Compassionate RD working to support those seeking assistance in these situations. She shares what initially drew her to specialize in eating disorders and how this route impacted her own experiences. Beyond that, we discuss the mindset behind why we body check and the science behind why we react in such ways with food.
