Niraj Saraf, Innovation Lead for Urban Living at Innovate UK and founding director of Connectively Ltd, focuses in his speech on the human dimension of smart cities. City leaders need sustainable economic growth and offer residents and workers a good quality of life whilst also reducing their impacts on the environment and increasing their resilience to shocks. For Saraf Technology is a vital part of the answer but it cannot solve all challenges alone.
