Is it a creative outlet, is it an excuse to talk, or is it tomfoolery all the way? Well, in a very real sense DERRY BOYS can be all of those things. In this, the first series of a project we are calling "Diversions with Alex and John", we will be discussing the acclaimed Channel Four and Netflix production "Derry Girls". Episode by episode we will talk about what is happening on screen, in our minds and in our hearts. Broadcasting from Brighton and Cologne respectively, Alex and John will reminisce about growing up in Northern Ireland (Alex), spending lots of time on an island of the west coast (John), the 90's in general, and everything in between - there's plenty to spin a yarn about.This is our setup episode in which we are trying to hone in on what this podcast will  be, talk about names and segments, and all matter of minutiae.
