Think BIG Dentistry Show

Business

This is the Think BIG Dentistry Show where your hosts Dr. John and Marilee Sears, will show you how to give your indecision and confusion a back seat to decisive, goal-driven decisions to move you forward. Where we will break out of the mundane and routine, ordinary biases and ideas about running a dental practice and propel you and your practice into profit! We'll give you systems and strategies to create a successful practice along with the freedom to live your most powerful life. Marilee and I chat about our soft opening and talk about a saying I heard last week, "We need to learn how to dance around with COVID." I like this as this reflects using caution and common sense, but not to be fearful. Embrace what is going on and learn to live with this as well as we can without being afraid. Sadly, some practices are not going to be able to re-open. What could they have done to prevent this from happening? Both Marile and I wrote down four to five pillars, which are essential to both of us to discuss these together. I've spent over three decades studying psychology, and as a result, I believe the most important pillar is to market your practice effectively. Have services people want to offer, but more importantly, have the intangible items people are looking for and market those effectively. Do you have friendly staff? Do you like to answer the patient's questions? Does your team take a genuine interest in your clientele? These values are what customers are looking for in a quality dental office visit. Listen in to find out how the staff in my office markets themselves, why you should focus on lifestyle dentistry and why driveway happy hours have become the primary source for connecting. Learn why you should be creative on how to get together with your team, how you can be more engaging with your connections, and how you can take this openness into your dental practice.
