For this episode, I spoke with Tony Kresl, one of my favorite librarians. For a while, I have been wanting to do an episode on an illustrator, and Tony shared one of his favorites, Dan Santat. Dan Santat is a writer and illustrator based out of California. He has brought numerous books to life with his imaginative style that just keeps getting better. One of his best known works is Beekle the Unimaginary Friend, which won all sorts of awards. One of the common threads I noticed in his works is the transformational power of art and creativity. His books are inspiring to kids and adults and destined to be among those few that people save to read to their kids.
