In this episode Izzy speaks with Mimi Butlin, a disabled artist who runs the page @cantgoout_im sick where she shares her experiences of living with illness and disability through illustration. One of the most important things Mimi does on her page is the #BelieveUs series where she draws women and non binary people and shares their stories of not belong taken seriously in the illness by medical professionals and society in general.Izzy and mimi talk about misdiagnosis, the treatment and misrepresentation of chronically ill women, what i’s like to have to stay inside all year round and the impact this has on relationships.
