Pastor Micah shared a message about the role of compassion in our faith today. We looked at how in the Old Testament God continually kept His promises to the Israelites by showing them compassion over and over again when they would turn away from the Lord. In the New Testament we looked at numerous stories about how Jesus was moved by compassion to help those in need that He came across as He traveled around. Finally, we talked about how compassion should put our faith into action. Meaning that when we see a need we don't simply just acknowledge it, but we help them meet the need or connect them with someone or an organization that can help them with their needs. The three main points of this week's message are:God is compassionate, and will always keeps His promises.Jesus was moved by compassion when He saw people in need.May we be people who are moved by compassion to put our faith into action!
