The first College Football Playoff matchup of this year features Cincinnati taking on Alabama in the Cotton Bowl. Cincinnati makes their first-ever appearance in the College Football Playoffs after finishing the regular season with a 13-0 record and capturing the AAC Championship making history to become the first Group of 5 school to make the CFB Playoffs. The Bearcats will have their hands full as they take on Alabama who won the National Championship last season in 2020. The Crimson Tide defeated Georgia 41-24 to win the SEC Championship led by Heisman trophy winner Bryce Young. Cincinnati has defined all odds getting into the College Football playoffs but do the Bearcats have what it takes to beat Alabama? Can the Bearcats pull off the massive upset against the College Football giant that is Alabama? The second College Football Playoff matchup features Georgia vs Michigan playing in the Orange Bowl in what looks to be a very exciting game. Michigan has played great all season finishing with a 12-1 record and winning the BIG 10 Championship against Iowa, Georgia, however, came up short in the SEC Championship once again losing to Alabama 41-24 leading many UGA fans wondering if this team is still capable of winning a national championship or if this team will once again fail to live up to their lofty preseason expectations? Can the Bulldogs beat the Wolverines with Stetson Bennett at QB or will he hold them back? Michigan has been dominant all season with a devastating run game led by the two-headed attack of Hassan Haskins and Blake Corum will the Wolverines be able to run against the Bulldogs' stout defense?
