Welcome to the rise podcast. Rise is a contemporary service at the First United Methodist Church of Escondido. We are a gathering of spiritual sojourners walking in the way of Jesus learning to love God and our neighbors as we best we can. On this season of the Rise podcast, we invite you to join us as we explore what Advent is, the meaning behind it, and how we can begin to discover the deep joy of heaven touching earth. On this episode we enter into the Rise Christmas service as Pastor Ben encourages us to not just let the nativity scene sit on our mantle, but rather to take it off the mantle and allow the story to weave into every fiber of our being--in how we live, love and connect with others.
