Show Notes: Grew up in St. Louis but was a Chicago Cubs fan watching games on WGN Lost his mom just before his 8th birthday and her gift of showcasing how to fight still inspires him today Would attend Michigan St. University through the life insurance policy his mom had which enabled him to understand the power of financial advising After he was married, Ben opened his mom's journal that she had kept during her battle with a rare and debilitating disease and was blown away by her toughness, vulnerability and positivity Ben would quickly become a very successful financial advisor before his first speaking engagement at his former high school for his former high school basketball team Now Ben works as a performance and mental coach for companies and sports teams from across the country like Kansas St. football and Alabama football He has written several books and his book “Own Your Success” was ranked by CEO READ as their #13 business book of 2012 Ben is also currently leading the Financial Advisor Academy where he serves as a financial advisor sales coach and hosts The BURN podcast Words of Wisdom from Ben: "It's not how long you live your life, it's how you choose to live your life."
