Campfire Convos are shorts where Liz and Kelsey candidly talk about a topic loosely related to women and the outdoor world. Whether it be talking about the subject of being a woman in the backcountry, a recent book we read, or something fun–like our favorite pieces of gear and why, we try to keep these episodes around 15-20 minutes. These shorts will come out every other Thursday as a buffer between interview episodes with guests, giving you time to catch up on the longer episodes and us time to create more fantastic content! This episode takes a look at the desire of many of us to go "low waste" in our everyday life and how to transition that into our outdoors recreation. We discuss the basic tips, like using reusables to shop and eat out of. Then, we discuss our outdoors habits and even dive into some of our favorite sustainable brands and gear web sites. Check out the blog post write-up on this episode for more detailed information on the hows and whys of this topic, as well as links to anything mentioned.
