Texas A&M's Zach Calzada likely was always going to have to fight for the role of QB1 next season. That is, if he ever wanted to stay. Calzada elected to enter the transfer portal on Monday, granting him two more years of eligibility after an 8-4 record in 2021 with the Aggies. Calzada became the Aggies’ starter in Week 3 after Haynes King, who won the starting job in August, broke his tibia in Week 2 against Colorado. Calzada turned in an up-and-down performance the rest of the overall disappointing season for the Aggies, who were a popular preseason pick to compete with Alabama for an SEC West title. Join Locked on Aggies host Cole Thompson as he breaks down what A&M does against No. 17 Wake Forest and what programs should be interested in Calzada on the open market.
