The secondhand Citizen / Smoke crew headed over to Melbourne to kick it at Meatstock 2019. One of the premiere BBQ festivals of the year, Meatstock brings the best in the country and from overseas to battle it out for glory. 2 years ago we met Sam and Michael from Butchers Axe when we were competing ourselves. It was there first comp and they rocked up with a huge crew, cool merch and a 4th place Brisket to boot. Two years later we sat down with Sam & Michael on the afternoon before their cook (and subsequent GC) to discuss their journey, homemade sauces, croc ribs and more! We hope you enjoy.
