When women start thinking about starting businesses they often focus on finding loans, drawing business plans and looking for staff. Rarely do we think or talk about finding the confidence to communicate and run a business effectively. Being a successful businesswoman takes guts and on this week’s show, we talk about how to build the confidence to do business effectively. We explore six ways of finding your voice in the office or corporate space. How do we as women speak up and get credit for our ideas in an assertive and not rude manner? Next, we explore ways to find a business opportunity that suits you. Most times we get into business without considering whether or not the opportunity suits us but because everyone is doing it and seems successful. If you’re not sure about the business you are doing, that lack of confidence will show in how you conduct business and ultimately affect sales. We also have a chat with Forbes coach and founder of Pursue Your Purpose, Tamiko Cuellar on her just ended four city masterclass tour “Own Your Brilliance” in South Africa and Namibia. Tamiko shares some very valuable lessons on how to grow your confidence and what steps to take to be a successful businesswoman. And finally, the show wraps up with a list of networking events and platforms women can attend to interact with like-minded peers.--- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/ijere-africa/supportThis show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/4661091/advertisement
