Brendan Burke, the new TV voice of the New York Islanders is my guest for the "Broadcast Journal". He discusses the Islanders 4-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils. His tour around visiting each NHL arena in this 1st season as a NHL broadcaster. His career starting at Ithaca College, to his pro start as a minor league baseball announcer, to the Wheeling Nailers in the ECHL, to the Peoria Rivermen in the AHL. Having to essentially get his job back when the Vancouver Canucks bought the franchise and moved it to Utica, NY. His favorite memories calling the Utica Comets, his expansive role with the team, and the connection between the franchise and team. Also, his relationship with former Islanders TV announcer, Howie Rose. All this and more on the Broadcast Journal. Music is titled "Going Higher" courtesy of Royalty Free Music From Bensound.
