Learn about the importance of breath awareness in yoga and in everyday life. I share with you a little bit about why breathing is so important and some useful breath awareness techniques that you can use outside of a yoga class to deal with anxiety, stress and mild insomnia. I also shed a little bit of  light on the 5 layers of the body (called koshas) and pranayama (breathing techniques to alter the natural breathing pattern).
