Joining Jamie in the next of our Boot Room Talks podcasts is father and son duo, Keith and David Mayer. Keith and David are the authors of the award winning book Gold Dust: How To Become a More Effective Coach, Quickly.   Keith’s coaching journey started 37 years ago. At 22 years old he was one of the first holders of what was formally known as the full badge. He’s a UEFA ‘A’ licensed coach,  and has worked in a variety of coaching & coaching education roles at the English FA and is currently in his 5th year working as a part time coach at Liverpool Football Club’s academy. David is currently Global head of Foundation phase at 7Elite Academy in Utah and has just completed his UEFA ‘A’ license having previously been part of the Glenn Hoddle academy based in Spain so both have lots of experience to share with us on this episode.    They share with us the story behind their book ad discuss many topics including, what makes a good coach?
