The death of George Floyd is a tragedy that has brought about several people from all backgrounds in speaking out against racism & police brutality. However, there's a question I always ask: what will be done once the virtue signaling is done? People are always quick to join in on popular movements, but once things start to die down in attention, will we have conversations with each other? Or is this simply a show of how we get caught up in the moment? We seriously need to have conversations about these topics and know the struggles that are often not talked about, but how many of us are willing to do it?
