Hello everyone. How are you all?

I am Debottam.

And you are listening to BYBL-A SIP Podcast, Season-1, and Episode-48

In today's episode, we will discuss different perspectives on why we feel bored with what we consider normal.

It is a very interesting point where there are both extremes that one needs to understand.

There are instances in our daily lives when we feel bored from doing certain things repeatedly.

It can be cooking, washing your clothes, organizing your room, going to the supermarket for groceries, or pursuing any passion.

Our body language dips.

Suddenly, we do not feel like doing the task for which we worked hard in the past.

Also, sometimes, you feel so disinterested in yourself that you don’t continue your work and go back to what others refer to as a “COMFORT ZONE”.

I come across many posts on social media saying that what you do consistently is what you actually are.

Doesn’t it contradict my idea as mentioned above?

I really don’t know. It is a space to be explored and reason may differ from individual to individual.

If we look at the broader picture, our human mind is the most restless unit we can ever come across.

We humans need to inject adventure, and newness in things that may not make much sense.

Probably this is what experts indicated of pushing on self to come out of comfort zone and explore life in a more meaningful way.

Boredom with practicing what is normal can arise from

- a lack of novelty,

- limited stimulation,

- a dearth of growth opportunities,

- the monotony of repetitive activities, and

- an unfulfilled desire for adventure.

To overcome this boredom, it’s important to introduce variety, seek out new challenges, and constantly strive for personal growth and expansion beyond the confines of what is considered normal.

It is difficult. You may get a solution to it instantly, as you have to seek it.

May all of you keep the passion inside you alive with your adventure and experiences and strive for excellence.
