Chapter 11 of BaMidbar opens with the first of the Israelites' complaints in the book. They complain about missing the variety of foods that they ate in Egypt, and that they're sick of the mahn. God responds by punishing them with a plague and eliminating the complainers from the nation. In this week's episode we discuss why this complaint warranted such a strong reaction, and what this can teach us about the dangers of nostalgic thinking.
