In this episode, it was decided to hoist the tricolor flag on the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai on 4th August. On 7th August, Jinnah left for Karachi, Pakistan, and became the new Governor-General of Pakistan. Dates were set to declare the independence of India and Pakistan.
