Vivek Atray, ex IAS, is a Motivational-Leadership Speaker and Mentor, Author of 5 books, Advisor, Columnist and Visiting Professor. He resigned from the Indian Administrative Service, IAS, in 2017.
He has 18 TEDx Talks and 5 highly popular JOSH Talks. Over 12 million people have viewed his videos on YouTube including major podcasts like the Ranveer Show and Raj Shamani Podcast.
He is the founder of SUVICHAR Think Tank, and Visiting Professor and Chair of the Yogananda Centre for Spiritual Science at Shoolini University. He is the co-founder of the Vibrant Networking Forum, Playwrite Foundation, I TOO (Think of Others), Chandigarh Literary Society and Inkredible Novel Bunch and also Co-Convenor of INTACH Chandigarh. He is a former member of the Governor's Advisory Council for Chandigarh UT.
Vivek Atray has spoken in India and abroad at events of HORASIS, BIMSTEC, NASSCOM, CII, TIE, NCGG, LBSNAA, IIFT, ISB, IIMs, IITs, Universities, Colleges, Schools and companies like Infosys, SBI, Bank of Maharashtra, Axis Bank, Trident, Schindler, BHEL and NTPC. He has trained Civil Services officers from Cambodia, Maldives, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka apart from Indian State Civil Services officers. He has also trained hundreds of visiting public health professionals including Doctors and Paramedical staff from across the world as part of the International Public Health Management Development Programme (IPHMDP).
He addresses audiences from Industry, Academia, Government, et al, on the Nuances of Leadership, Good Governance, Inter personal relations, Emotional Intelligence, Life Skills, People Skills, Public Speaking Skills, Meditation, Calmness, Entrepreneurship, Education & Sports Management.
He has inspired thousands of youngsters to adopt a cheerful, positive and multi-dimensional approach to their lives.
His novels are "Move on Bunny!" & "Dubey ji Bounces Back". His motivational/leadership books are IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE, FINDING SUCCESS WITHIN and THE MIDDLE of EVERYTHING. He has been writing a fortnightly column- Random Forays- for the Hindustan Times, since 2016.
As Director IT and Tourism, he successfully promoted the Union Territory of Chandigarh for investment and tourism. He was the man behind the Chandigarh IT Park. He spearheaded the award winning e-SAMPARK project. He was quoted by The New York Times and The Observer of UK during this period.
As District Commissioner DC Panchkula he initiated projects such as Village Mentoring and Aadar Samman (Respect for the Elderly). He has also remained posted as Director Industries, Director Tourism Director Technical Education and Director Public Relations for the Government.
He has been organising the annual All India JP Atray Cricket Tournament since 1992. Vivek himself was an under-19 cricketer at the national level. He played the All India CK Nayadu Cricket Tournament twice.
He is an Electronics Engineer from NIT Kurukshetra. He has a diploma in French. His favourite book is the Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda.
