I will be giving an overview of the article "Daily 5 to 6 cups of coffee may raise blood lipids and heart disease risk" by Dr. Kamal Kant Kohli. This article is based on a study published in the Journal of Clinical Nutrition. This study analyzed information from the UK Biobank and found that heavy coffee consumption may cause elevated lipid levels, specifically LDL (bad cholesterol) and total cholesterol. This can in turn lead to an increased risk of heart disease.
