Here in today’s passage, we see that Philip here, doesn’t really know who Jesus or who God is. Even though he may have spent a good 3 years with Jesus every single day, saw His miracles and heard His teachings, he still didn’t know the person of Jesus, His character and most importantly, His heart. He didn’t understand why Jesus did what He did or said what He said. Philip didn't really know Who Jesus is or God is to him.  And the way to know Him is to know His heart for us. Because this will affect the way we come to Him, view God and worship Him.
