Becoming a birth and postpartum doula came out of a need to help women feeling alone, unheard, unprotected, and traumatized from their previous birthing experiences or those concerned about first time labor & delivery. Birthwork wasn’t something I originally planned for, but something that provided a way to help black women after my own negative medical experiences. It allows for changing not just one life, but an entire family. Birthwork is where I feel the most empowered and useful to my community as I help women have more positive, fulfilling, and healthier birthing experiences. Focusing on the black community is important, these women continuously are mistreated and go unheard due to medical racism. While, one person—especially another black woman—can not undo systems created centuries ago, one person can advocate for changing as many lives as possible. I received my training and certification through Birthing Beautiful Communities in Cleveland, OH. I am also CPR/First Aid certified. When I am not assisting clients, I am on social media educating my following in any way I can! I don't have my website up yet and my personal social media pages are where I post all of my doula content. https://twitter.com/lil_LiteBright https://www.instagram.com/tv/CD2fuslnrMD/?igshid=1uqwow05frbz7 ---------------------------------------------- WHERE YOU CAN FIND ME: Website: https://www.wearegoalinc.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wearegoalinc/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/wearegoalinc Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/wearegoalinc/ Email: wearegoalinc@gmail.com If you enjoyed this episode don’t forget to subscribe, rate and leave a review! #GirlsOnAnotherLevel
