Two children were attacked by a bobcat in Oglethorpe County, Georgia on Friday, October 6, 2023. The first attack occurred at around 6:30 p.m. when a 3-year-old girl was playing in her yard. The second attack occurred about 30 minutes later at a nearby home when a 14-year-old boy was playing outside. Both children were taken to the hospital for treatment and were released later that day.
Authorities are warning residents to be on the lookout for the bobcat and to report any sightings to the authorities.
