A year ago today, I released my first REAL project. My first body of ORIGINAL work, my first baby, my first EP, mixtape, album, whatever you wanna call it! "When the Mixtape Droppin?!" Only a few know the time, work, anxiety, patience, money, notebooks, pens, TIME, MONEY, shit, travels, etc. that went into making those 7 songs (8 if you count the intro). It was really a 2-year long process believe or not. Although the EP did not get me as far as I dreamed it would as soon as I'd hoped it would (you always hear the stories of how someone dropped a song or mixtape, and it goes viral within a couple of months), it proved to me that they only thing, the only person, stopping me from really pursuing my dream of music and the things I love, is me. This was my first step to really defining me as an artist, and I'm not even done yet! I still have some more soul searching to do. This project will forever mean so much to me.
