We are so fortunate to have great fishing in the interior of British Columbia from April until November each year. However, there is a lot of fluctuation in emergences and conditions throughout the progression of the season. April - Ice-off season, lots of leech fishing and early chironomid emergences as well as shrimp and waterboatmen activityMay - Chironomid season AKA "go-time"!!June - Chironomids, damsels, mayflies, caddis, dragons, everything!July - Still some chironomids, damsels, caddis, dragonflies. Excellent dry fly opportunitiesAugust - HOT. Some great "bomber" fishing available. September - Excellent fall chironomid emergences, some strong boatmen fallsOctober - Some of the largest fish in the lake will begin sliding into shallow water to get their last big feed in for the year.
