When we make assumptions, we tell ourselves that something is true without any real evidence that it is. Is making a guess about someone or something worth the risk that we may be wrong? Is it worth ruining a friendship over? When we begin to make assumptions about how other people think or feel, we automatically eliminate what might have been a good conversation where we learn another viewpoint and come to an understanding.
