TOGETHER GROUP QUESTIONS Read Hebrews 2:10-18. What is God’s Word saying to you in this passage? What is God’s heart for His people? In the sermon last week, we talked about the dangers of drifting (Read Hebrews 2:1-4). Which of the following 2 or 3 areas in your life show symptoms of drifting? (Relationship with Jesus has grown cold, No sense of awe, Desire for God’s Word is weak, Not focused on the eternal, Response to sin and evil is numb, Church and serving is a duty, The cross is common, I act like I don’t need people, I lack joy and gratitude, The fruits of the Spirit aren’t showing in my life) The author of Hebrews goes to great length to show his readers how much Jesus has done for us, because He didn’t want them to lose sight of the power and glory of the cross. What does the cross mean to you? Jesus is the Author of our Salvation! He went before us in obedience, suffering, and back into glory. Why did it have to be done this way? Was there an easier way? What does the word “propitiation” mean? Describe what would happen if God didn’t send Jesus to be our propitiation. Read 1 Cor. 10:13. What is one thing in your life that you’ve faced that (at the time at least) you didn’t think God could get you through? Because of what Jesus has done, how will He help us in our struggles and temptations?
